Residential DUI Program

Synergy offers a 28 day residential treatment program for DUI offenders. many participants are second time offenders with no insurance or access to other intensive substance abuse treatment. Previously sentenced to 45 days in jail, individuals may now spend 17 days in jail and the remaining 28 days in a residential treatment setting. The University of Memphis has been tracking the success rate of DUI offenders who spent 28 days in residential treatment as opposed to spending the entire time in jail. Their research suggests that with the treatment component, there is a 60% reduction in the rate of recidivism. A program for repeat DUI offenders is exciting for not only Synergy but for our community as a whole.
