Synergy
is located at 2305 Airport
Interchange in Memphis,
TN.
For
those of you unfamiliar
with us,
The Synergy
Foundation, DBA Synergy
Treatment Centers,
is an innovative, one year
residential alcohol and
drug treatment program.
Synergy provides comprehensive
treatment to adults (18
years or older) who have
a chronic substance abuse
problem and sincere desire
to overcome their addiction.
The program is open to adult
men and women without regard
to race, religion, or national
origin. Individuals are
referred from the criminal
justice system, other substance
abuse treatment centers,
or are self-referred. Synergy
successfully integrates
clinical therapy with on-the-job
training in order to achieve
long-term recovery for committed
participants.
Program
components include:
·
Substance abuse treatment
and education
· Work therapy and
vocational training
· Personal and social
development
· Cultural and recreational
activities
· Self-empowerment
· Community service
Residential
Treatment Program
Synergy’s Residential
Treatment Program is administered
through two phases over
the course of one year.
Intensive
Treatment - Phase I: First
5-6 weeks
Residents are enrolled in
individual and group therapy
sessions throughout the
day and participate in additional
treatment-related activities
during the evenings and
on weekends.
Therapeutic
Work – Phase II: Remaining
10+ months
Residents are placed in
a community job or in one
of our owned and operated
businesses during the day
while continuing to receive
individual treatment and
peer group therapy during
the evenings and on weekends.
Synergy’s
Transitional Housing Center
is a transitional housing
facility for adult male
graduates of substance abuse
treatment programs who need
access to affordable housing
and regular recovery services.
An on-site Case Manager
helps residents find employment
and access mainstream resources.
Additionally, the Case Manager
helps residents repair poor
credit history, address
legal or medical problems
and learn financial responsibility.
This facility has 15 beds
available. Residents typically
stay between 1 and 2 years
or until they are able to
obtain permanent housing.
Residential
DUI Program
Synergy
offers a 28 day residential
treatment program for DUI
offenders. Many participants
are second time offenders
with no insurance or access
to other intensive substance
abuse treatment. Previously
sentenced to 45 days in
jail, individuals may now
spend 17 days in jail and
the remaining 28 days in
a residential treatment
setting. The University
of Memphis has been tracking
the success rate of DUI
offenders who spent 28 days
in residential treatment
as opposed to spending the
entire time in jail. Their
evidence suggests that with
the treatment component,
there is a 60% reduction
in the rate of recidivism.
A program for repeat DUI
offenders is exciting for
not only Synergy but for
our community as a whole.
