Job Responsibilities
- Makes outreach efforts to jail, probation/parole departments and other referring agencies. This includes interviewing and making court appearances, as required.
- Plans, organizes, and facilitates the provision of educational instruction, and conducts individual sessions.
- Compiles and maintains client records as assigned.
- Monitors residents to detect behavior patterns and reports observations to counseling and supervisory staff; records all relevant activities in the daily log book and communicates information to staff.
- Supervises random drug screens as required by referral source or as directed by supervisor and counselor, orders screens when necessary.
- Attends all staff meetings as required.
- Completes admission and discharge duties and paperwork as assigned.
- Performs other projects and duties as assigned, including, but not limited to: maintaining individual and group attendance sheets, enforcing rules, conducting building safety and security checks, monitoring the daily schedule, supervising clients, providing progress reports by contacting and/or writing correspondence to criminal justice agencies, and completing required certificates for legal entities and other referral sources.
- Performs all tasks on the Job Duties Checklist.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned.
Education and Training
Valid driver's license, Class D with F endorsement Current CPR/First Aid certification High school diploma, LADAC and/or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience in DUI, domestic violence, anger management group facilitation and individual counseling preferred
