
Long-Term Residential Treatment Program (RTP)
The RTP is a one-year alcohol and drug treatment program which includes comprehensive substance abuse and/or co-occuring treatment to adults who demonstrate a sincere desire to overcome their addiction. Clients are referred from community agencies, are self-referred or from the criminal justice system. This program is administered through two phases:
Phase I – Intensive Treatment, 5-6 weeks
Clients are enrolled in individual and group therapy sessions throughout the day, evenings and weekends.
Classes include:
AA/12 Step Traditional Study
Health and Life Skills
Relapse Prevention
G.E.D./Adult Basic Education
Cognitive Restructuring
Phase II – Therapeutic Work, 10+ months
During this time, clients are employed full-time with private sector partners throughout the Memphis community. This work funds the majority of the cost to treat the chronic disease of addiction. Individual and group therapy and the above classes are offered during the evenings and on weekends. The client will also participate in Process Group, Sexual Abuse Counseling, Pass/Recovery Plan group, inside and outside meetings, Big Book study and 12 steps.
